Curetech biography
Open your eyes to lymphedema and chronic venous insufficiency
Lymphedema is swelling caused by excess lymphatic fluid (lymph) collecting in the body’s soft tissues, usually in the arms or legs. It is a chronic (ongoing) condition seen mostly in people who have undergone cancer interventions including surgery, radiation and chemotherapy. At this time, there is no cure for lymphedema, however symptoms such as swelling, pain and discomfort can be improved with CompressTech.
CompressTech works by sequentially inflating and deflating its chambers to create a soothing, wave-like motion that directs lymph fluid from the impaired area toward healthy regions of the body. The fluid is then naturally absorbed and processed by the body.
The limb circumference is decreased while the elasticity of tissue is increased and maintained. The CompressTech inflation timed therapy can be safely recommended to patients with lymphedema.
With individual customized treatment options, CompressTech compression therapy includes 2 modes of operating, 3 options for treatment time, and customized pressure range that caters to the comfort of each patient. Full-leg lower extremity garment set (single cuff or simultaneous bilateral therapy). CompressTech provides 20-80 mmHg of compression that produces a massaging effect on the superficial lymphatics, helping to soften the fibrotic tissue and reduce edema.
